SSMMS Non-Woven Fabric: Multi-field Application of Innovative Materials

As a high-performance composite material, SSMMS non-woven fabric has demonstrated its unique advantages and application potential in many fields in recent years.

1. Basic characteristics of SSMMS non-woven fabric
SSMMS non-woven fabric, full name Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond-Meltblown-Spunbond, is a multi-layer non-woven material. It is composed of two spunbond layers (Spunbond) and two meltblown layers (Meltblown) through a special process, and a meltblown layer is sandwiched in the middle to form a five-layer structure. This structure gives SSMMS non-woven fabric excellent performance, including high strength, high air permeability, excellent liquid barrier and good softness.

2. Production process
The production process of SSMMS non-woven fabric combines two non-woven technologies, spunbond and meltblown. First, the polymer slices are melted and extruded through the spunbond process to form continuous filaments. These filaments are stretched, laid, hot pressed and other processes to form a spunbond layer. Subsequently, the high melt index polymer slices are melted and sprayed out at high speed using the meltblown process to form an ultrafine fiber layer (meltblown layer). Finally, the spunbond layer and the meltblown layer are alternately stacked through multi-layer composite technology to form a SSMMS five-layer structure, and then hot-pressed to ensure a firm bond between the layers.

3. Performance advantages
High strength: SSMMS nonwoven fabric adopts a multi-layer composite structure, and the spunbond layer provides good strength and stability, so that the overall material has high tear resistance and tensile resistance.
High air permeability: The meltblown layer is composed of ultrafine fibers and has porosity, which ensures good air permeability, so that the SSMMS nonwoven fabric can maintain barrier properties while allowing air to flow freely.
Excellent liquid barrier: The double-layer meltblown layer in the middle can effectively block liquid penetration and meet the protection needs of medical, health and other fields.
Good softness: SSMMS nonwoven fabrics are soft to the touch and comfortable to wear. They are suitable for underwear and medical supplies.
Environmentally friendly and degradable: The main raw materials are degradable materials such as polypropylene, which meet environmental protection requirements. They can be effectively degraded after being discarded to reduce environmental pollution.

4. Application fields
Medical field: SSMMS nonwoven fabrics are widely used in the production of medical protective clothing, surgical gowns, masks and other medical supplies due to their excellent barrier properties and breathability. The multi-layer structure can effectively prevent the penetration of microorganisms such as viruses and bacteria, and protect the safety of medical staff and patients.
Health field: In personal hygiene products such as sanitary napkins and diapers, SSMMS nonwoven fabrics are used as absorption layers or barrier layers to improve the comfort and use effect of the products.
Industrial field: In the fields of filter materials, wipes, etc., SSMMS nonwoven fabrics have become ideal industrial fabrics with their high strength, wear resistance and easy cleaning.
Civilian field: With the improvement of people's living standards, SSMMS nonwoven fabrics are gradually used in household products, pet products and other fields, such as pet pads, bedding, etc.
